HOW DO YOU DEFINE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?

We take a candid documentary approach, unobtrusively capturing authentic moments at your wedding, as well as elegant portraits.   We allow for events to unfold naturally, capturing the in between and unexpected moments as well as the planned and expected moments.  In addition, we produce wonderful portraits of you as a couple, focusing on the connection and dynamics between the two of you.

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES FOR COVERAGE, HOW MANY HOURS DOES THAT INCLUDE?

Weddings can vary significantly from an intimate afternoon to a full weekend of activities; we tailor our creative coverage to your needs.  Please let us know what you are planning and we can provide a custom quote.  Our goal is to ensure that we respect your time and provide the best information for you to know whether or not our photography fits with your artistic vision and your budget.

DO YOU WORK WITH A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?

Yes, we work with a group of exceptional second photographers. Not all weddings require a second photographer but having one adds to the depth and variety of photographs, as well as the ability to capture events that are happening mutually exclusively (e.g. bride and bride’s family getting ready /groom and groom’s family getting ready).  For even larger events we can have multiple photographers to capture additional aspects of the day.

ARE ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS AVAILABLE?

Yes, an engagement session is a wonderful way to document who you are as a couple in natural and familiar settings.    We recommend a variety of locations, foremost those that have meaning to you, as well as those that may hold a unique beauty. 

 DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS?

Yes, we offer several different types of custom design albums.  These albums are selected, designed and printed to present and preserve your photographs for generations to come.  

WHAT ARE YOUR DELIVERABLES? 

In addition to the creative coverage of your event, we provide the edited high-resolution images, a selection of fine art prints and a secure on-line gallery as standard for all weddings.   Additional items include albums, photobooth, engagement session, rehearsal dinner coverage and more.

For an a eight hour wedding we typically deliver 750-1000 edited images which are available 6-8 weeks after the wedding.

DO YOU SCOUT LOCATIONS?

Scouting includes on-site visits to where the wedding ceremony, reception and other areas where portraits will be taken to determine the best locations and angles for our photography.  In addition, scouting allows us to get a good understanding of the lighting for that particular location and the flow of the day, along with allowing us to have a back up plan should the weather prohibit the original photography plan. For a majority of our weddings we do on-site scouting leading up to the wedding including those locations we’ve worked at before to gain a fresh eye.  Every wedding is unique!

DO YOU NEED A SHOT LIST?

We ask that you provide a timeline detailing key events and times through out the day as well as a detailed list of family members, bridal party and any one else you would like in formal portraits.  A specific shot list is not necessary as we discuss in depth the coverage of your wedding leading up to the day.

WHAT HAPPENS IF RAINS, SNOWS OR THERE IS A HURRICANE?

This is were both our experience and planning come into play,…we are prepared!  Rain and snow can act as a natural backdrop adding to the unique ambiance of your wedding and we embrace the opportunity to document the day as it is...rain boots and umbrellas look great!  Part of our scouting includes determining locations for inclement weather.
 

WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO MY PHOTOGRAPHER (S)? 

One of the benefits of being a wedding photographer is the wonderful artistic community we are apart of with fellow colleagues.  We meet on a consistent basis to learn from each other and better our craft.  In addition, we are on call for each other should a situation arise that is beyond our control that would prohibit us to photograph your event. We recognize that each wedding is a once in a lifetime event and we take our commitment to you very seriously, ensuring that we prepare and plan for any situation that may arise.  We've never even been late to any of the 200 plus weddings we've photographed, but if needed there is network waiting to help out.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO HIRE YOU?

We recommend an in person meeting, phone call and/or skype to get to know each other.  To move forward we require a signed contract with a 50% retainer to secure the date.
